The Project

AIDS is devastating Africa. Somewhere between 24 and 30 million Africans are infected with HIV and 1.5 to 2 million die of AIDS each year. The disease has left 14 million children orphans. AIDS is one of the worst pandemics the world has ever seen.

Our solution to this problem is homeopathy.

By offering treatment that helps the immune system to fight the disease we are helping thousands of people get back their lives.

We don't claim to cure AIDS. But we do claim to help!

In the end we all die. What matters is the quality of life we have now.

Clinics

We have treated 2000 patients in clinics all over Kilimanjaro region.

Patients report an increase in energy and well-being and an improvement in the side effects of anti-retroviral treatment. With homoeopathy we can treat most opportunistic infections and help reduce the occurrence of malaria.

Maasai Village and School

After handing over our day care centre, which is now sustainable, we turned our efforts to a rural Maasai village where poverty and illness are rampant.  The village has suffered recently from severe draught and is in need of help. Even primary health care doesn’t reach this remote area. We are helping to fund a school there and visit frequently to give homeopathic care to the children and adults.

 Hospitals

We are now working in two local hospitals, where we are able to treat the most seriously ill AIDS patients. The doctors who have observed the effectiveness of homeopathy are referring patients to us, especially those who are in "treatment failure" and can’t be helped by conventional medicine.

Training

We are making the project sustainable by sponsoring three students at 4Kenia, a homoeopathy nursing school in Kwale, and creating a course for village health workers and hospital professionals to learn homoeopathy.

Volunteering

Volunteer homoeopaths come from all over the world to visit, learn and help out in the clinics.

Homoeopathy - Helping patients with AIDS in Africa

About AIDS

AIDS is devastating Africa. Estimates are that somewhere between 24 and 30 million Africans are infected with HIV and 1.5 to 2 million die of AIDS each year The disease has left an estimated 14 million children orphans. This problem is not confined to the African continent. AIDS is one of the worst pandemics the world has ever seen. And though billions of dollars are pouring into AIDS projects, in many countries things are only getting worse. This situation needs a radical approach, and we believe homoeopathy can play a substantial part in the solution.

About The Project

Our project has several objectives; 1) To treat as many AIDS patients as possible, so as to relieve suffering 2) To develop a homoeopathic understanding of the disease. This understanding should enable us to list the homeopathic remedies which are most successful in treating AIDS. 3) To make our project sustainable by spreading this knowledge and the related remedies throughout Tanzania and Africa, so that local health practitioners will be able to prescribe these remedies to large masses of people. 4) To produce formal and ethical research on the treatment of AIDS with homoeopathy so as to show the world what it is able to achieve. 6) To help with education and nutrition as far as possible.

Our progress so far

We have opened several homoeopathy clinics in rural Tanzania. As well as practicing in the clinics we have several outreach programs, visiting patients home when they are too sick or poor to travel. We have also opened a community centre for PLHA (People living with HIV/AIDS), mainly widows who have no resources at all. Here we supply education, food programs, exercise programs and a sense of community.

We have initiated several food projects to help supply sustainable solutions to the problem of poverty and malnutrition. We have supplied seeds for vegetables, chickens, pigs and a goat.

Once we are established we will invite more homoeopaths to come to Tanzania to participate in the project. We aim to open homoeopathic schools in Tanzania and  help spread homoeopathy throughout the whole of Africa, training doctors, homeopathic professionals, nurses and local practitioners.

Our Associates

We have partnered with two local NGO’s : TREDO, Tanzania Rural Education and Development Organization, and KACA, Kilimanjaro AIDS Control Centre. They are very impressed with our results and supply us with an endless stream of patients.

We have the support and endorsement from the Ministry of Health and the local authorities. We are also working with several eminent homoeopathic researchers, and have the support of Dr. Brian Berman at the Center for  Integrative Medicine at the University of Maryland, USA.

Why Homoeopathy

In many ways homoeopathy is the perfect medicine for persons suffering from AIDS, and particularly in Africa. AIDS means Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. Homoeopathy works by stimulating and enhancing the immune system and therefore it is precisely in this disease that homoeopathy can be most effective.

Homoeopathy is a system of medicine with an outstanding record of cures, both in individual and epidemic diseases.  Homoeopathy was extremely effective in the great flu pandemic of 1918, and the cholera epidemics of the 19th century. Homeopathy has proved effective in yellow fever, whooping cough, polio, typhus, and malaria. Today, homoeopaths all over the world are having very promising results with AIDS patients, substantially improving their well being and restoring health.

While conventional medicine aims to fight the virus, and is able to buy time for the patient, there is no radical change in the underlying health. In effect, conventional medicine only supplies a temporary relief, often at a great cost financially, and with many severe side effects.

Homoeopathy is the safest and more reliable approach to ailments and has withstood the assaults of

established medical practice for over 100 years

Why Africa

Homoeopathy is perfect for Africa because people of Africa understand and respect natural systems of healing.  It is not a foreign intrusion on their way of thinking, but an integral part of their belief system and culture. Homoeopathy is very affordable, even for the poorest Africans, while orthodox drugs are expensive, and often unavailable.  Homoeopathy has no side effects, while the side effects of orthodox drugs can be debilitating and severe. Homoeopathy is easy to teach at a basic level, so that local doctors, nurses and healers can learn and use it to treat this pandemic.

Why Tanzania

Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world. However, it is also one of the most future oriented countries in Africa, with positive policies on alternative and traditional medicine, and in particular on homoeopathy. When the Tanzanian government witnessed the radical results of homoeopathy with malaria and other tropical diseases, they fully embraced homoeopathy as one of the official medicines of Tanzania.

The Tanzanian government and academic institutions are eager to support such projects as ours. They are looking for a way to make a difference, and they recognize homoeopathy as one of these ways. Perhaps most importantly, Tanzania is just about to open its first homoeopathic school, which will form a base for our teaching project.

Tanzania has a history of a very successful pyramid health system. When there were no doctors available in the early 1960's, Tanzania trained local “barefoot doctors" under the supervision of doctors. The aim was to make medicines available for all people. This system was found to be highly efficient in spreading medicine throughout Tanzania, and it is this system we seek to emulate.

The Vision

We believe that there is a possibility to make a huge and substantial difference to the AIDS epidemic in Africa, to relieve suffering and restore health. We believe that there is no disease or situation that does not have an inherent solution. We believe that homoeopathic medicine can bring about real change.

Homoeopathy is one of the most effective systems of medicine known to man.  You might ask why many people have not heard of homoeopathy, yet the truth is that it is the most widely used alternative medicine in the world, practiced by hundreds of thousands of doctors and professionals world wide, supported by governments and loved by royalty and celebrities. Homoeopathy has a huge body of literature, substantial positive research and an excellent track record.

You may ask why homoeopaths are not out there treating AIDS in Africa. The truth is that there are several successful homoeopathic projects, yet nowhere near enough. Sadly, there is little funding for research and clinics for any system of medicine other than conventional, so that individual homoeopaths must bear the cost and burden of going it alone. Yet wherever they go, they perform daily miracles.

.

Homoeopathy can make a difference, we can make a difference. And you can be part of it!

Your help and support is much appreciated.
